Introduction

I’ve worked with Fidelity Ventures for over 15 years. In that time we’ve collaborated to build several successful companies, including Teleport Communications Boston, COLT Telecom Group plc, and now Mindshift where I am currently CEO. I say “we” because Fidelity Ventures has been an active, fully engaged partner the whole way. They have both the VC investment experience and the practical operating experience and this differentiates them from others in the market.

Fidelity Ventures was an early investor in Teleport Communications, where we built out the nation’s first and largest competitive local exchange carrier. Fidelity invested in Teleport’s Boston network in 1988, the company successfully IPOd in1996, and was subsequently acquired by AT&T in 1998 for $12 billion.
