Atari Atari dominated the first generation of personal computers and video game systems. Fidelity Ventures invested in Atari in 1975, and helped drive the growth that led to a successful IPO and then acquisition by Warner Communications (now TimeWarner.)

Banyan An early giant in LANs and LAN interconnectivity, Banyan marketed networking software products for complex computer systems. Banyan pioneered software for joining disparate LANS, and was first to market with a global directory service. In May of 2000 Banyan changed its name to ePresence and currently trades on NASDAQ under the symbol EPRE. Fidelity Ventures invested in Banyan in 1984.

Since becoming part of the US West Media Group it has grown to become the third largest broadband telecommunications provider in the country, and serves more than 4.8 million subscribers in 19 states. Fidelity Ventures invested in Continental Cablevision in 1972.

GeoTel Geotel provided call routing and optimization software utilized by the world's leading enterprise call centers. Fidelity Ventures invested in GeoTel in 1995.

Internap Internap Network Services Corporation offers high-performance IP solutions for business-critical applications through its industry-leading route control and optimization technology. Fidelity Ventures invested in Internap in 1999.

Krzweil Applied Intelligence Kurzweil Applied Intelligence manufactured automated speech recognition systems used to create documents and interact with computers by voice. Fidelity Ventures invested in Kurzweil Applied Intelligence in 1978.

In 1998 Fidelity Ventures invested in Advanced Mobilecomm and other entities which were merged to become Nextel.

Teleport Communications provided high quality, integrated telecommunications services, primarily over fiber optic digital networks, to meet the voice, data and video transmission needs of its customers. Fidelity Ventures invested in Teleport in 1987. The company IPO'd and later acquired by AT&T.

Wavesmith's multi-service switching platforms enabled carriers to enhance the usefulness of their existing optical infrastructure by delivering cost-effective ATM, Frame Relay, and IP services at the edge. Fidelity Ventures invested in WaveSmith in 2001.

WNP Communications was a company formed in 1998 to participate in the Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) markets.
