Biographies

Andrew Barnes
SVP of Corporate Development, Neverfail

Andrew Barnes joined Neverfail in March 2007, bringing extensive experience in marketing, product management, and pre-sales through his 25 years in the software industry. In his current role, he is responsible for Neverfail’s branding, marketing, product management and web presence. Andrew most recently served as VP of Marketing for a European-based software company and has held a variety of senior positions. Andrew worked for three years as Global Director of Marketing for KVS Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing and significantly increased the customer base until the company’s acquisition by Veritas (now Symantec). Prior to KVS, Andrew was Northern Europe Marketing Manager for iPlanet and Product Marketing Manager for Forte Software (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and in addition, served as the European Product Manager for Platinum Technology where he led a multinational team responsible for the launch and sales enablement of Platinum Infrastructure management products across Europe

Rae Sedel
Board Member, Russell Reynolds Associates

Rae Sedel is based in London, as a member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ board of directors. Her assignments are focused on board-level searches for clients across industries. Until December 2004 she built and led the Technology Sector into one of the key business drivers at Russell Reynolds Associates. She has extensive experience in multinational assignments for technology companies seeking to develop rapidly evolving, customer-driven markets. Rae has served on the firm’s Operating and Executive Committees, and until recently led all of the firm’s industry verticals, which was a concept she developed. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1987, Rae was with Pacific Telesis as Vice President, Consumer Markets. In this role, she was responsible for a staff of 13,000 and handled more than one billion customer transactions annually. In her 15 years with Pacific Telesis, Rae held positions of increasing responsibility in general management, sales, marketing, planning and operations.

Simon Clark
Partner, Fidelity Ventures

A partner in the firm's London office, Simon Clark focuses on investment opportunities in emerging European and Israeli technology companies. Simon is currently on the Board of Directors of Asset Control, BridgeCo, Curam, JR Technologies, Neverfail and Qumas. Prior to joining Fidelity in 1999, Simon was Chief Financial Officer and General Manager, International of TheStreet.com, (NASDAQ: TSCM) a leading financial news website. In this role he managed two rounds of venture fundraising, a strategic investment and the IPO process; was responsible for the company's IT infrastructure; and set up its international operations. He spent over seven years at Reuters in various finance, IT and general management positions and, in 1995, established and ran Reuters.com. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse in London.

David Rice-Jones
Chief Financial Officer, JacobsRimell

David Rice-Jones joined JacobsRimell as Chief Financial Officer in May 2007. David has 18 years' financial and operational experience in the software and telco sectors. Prior to joining JacobsRimell, David was CFO of Cramer, the market leading provider of inventory management systems for telcos. At Cramer, David worked with three CEO’s over four years to increase revenues by 40% compound, was responsible for Cramer’s acquisition of T-Soft and lead commercial and contractual negotiations during the sale of Cramer to Amdocs for $425m cash in August 2006. David has previously headed up European Finance for Access360, Continuus Software and Cadence and his early career was spent at Nortel where he held a variety of commercial finance positions. David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and has an honours degree in Engineering Science and Management from Durham University.
